We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, hardworking, and motivated Data Officer to join Durham’s Children and Young Peoples Data Team. This vacancy is temporary for a period of 12 months. This is an exciting post within the service, playing a key role in the development of the Family Hubs Programme within Durham. The successful applicant will work closely with partners and stakeholders and be responsible for the ongoing development of systems and data products to allow collection, analysis and presentation of data relating to Durham’s Family Hubs programme. This will include completion of government returns relating to the programme and development of data products to support the service. WHAT IS INVOLVED? The post is part of a team leading the future development of innovative and sustainable data improvement services across Children’s Services in Durham. This includes identification and implementation of new ways of extracting, matching and presentation of data using tools such as Microsoft SSMS and Power BI, to deliver key datasets in a way which provides insight and intelligence to support management decisions, performance frameworks and ensure robust decision making and planning. You will hold NVQ Level 5 in Performance/data related subject or equivalent in a relevant discipline or have experience in a performance/data role. You will be skilled in the use of tools such as SQL, Microsoft SSMS, Excel, Power BI etc. to extract, transform and load datasets. You will also need to understand how data can be stored and matched between systems to allow this to be used in service reporting.
