Housing Officer – fixed term 12 months
Are you passionate about working with people? We have an exciting fixed term role due to maternity leave within our Housing Management team working with our tenants and their families across North West Leicestershire. We are looking for someone with excellent verbal and written communication skills to join our busy team as a generic Housing Officer who will be responsible for a ‘patch’ of properties within the district, dealing with all aspects of Tenancy and Estate Management.
The responsibilities include managing rent arrears, allocations, low level anti‑social behaviour and estate issues within the allocated ‘patch’. The role includes promoting resident involvement and empowerment, which will involve attending some Tenants’ Association meetings in the evenings as and when required. The successful candidate will be committed to delivering high quality customer service with a smile on their face and have experience dealing with complex cases involving a social housing provider. Candidates must be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. The role will be a mixture of home working and working from the council offices in Coalville.
