Salary: Competitive daily rate / MPS-UPS (dependent on experience)

We are currently supporting a secondary school in Northampton in their search for a Cooking Teacher to join their team from April or September 2026. This position is flexible, offering both full-time and part-time options, and would suit experienced teachers as well as ECTs looking to grow within a supportive department.
The Role:
1. Deliver engaging and practical Cooking lessons across KS3 and KS4
2. Teach key skills such as food preparation, nutrition, and kitchen safety
3. Ensure a safe, hygienic, and well-managed learning environment
4. Monitor student performance and provide constructive feedback
5. Encourage a positive and inclusive classroom culture
6. Work alongside colleagues to support curriculum development
The Ideal Candidate:
7. Holds QTS or is working towards achieving it
8. Has strong knowledge of cooking, nutrition, or a related subject
9. Comfortable leading practical lessons in a dynamic classroom
10. Demonstrates strong organisational and behaviour management skills
11. Motivated, reliable, and focused on student achievement
12. Previous experience in a secondary school setting is beneficial
