Job Responsibilities
* Teach and assess courses including Level 2 BTEC in CPLD, BTEC Extended Diploma in CPLD, and the T-Level in Childcare and Education.
* Play an active role in marketing the college and department through activities such as open days and liaison with local employers and schools.
* Prepare, mark and monitor student progress; prepare reports; set and mark examination papers.
* Develop and prepare flexible learning materials.
Qualifications and Experience
* Enthusiastic, self‑motivated team player with relevant industrial experience.
* Qualified with an Early Years related degree or equivalent, or willing to work towards a Level 5 teaching qualification (DTLLS or equivalent).
* Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
* Teaching qualification (PGCE or DTLLS) or willingness to obtain.
* Relevant industry experience.
* Maintained professional updating within the early years sector.
* Ideally has relevant teaching experience within the FE sector.
* Well organised and able to manage peaks and troughs of a varied workload.
* Effective communication with students and peers.
