The Role
As a Paraplanner, you will support our Financial Planners by providing holistic financial planning solutions, backed by a team of experienced Partners with over 50 years of combined expertise. Our approach, loyal client base, and talented team make this an excellent opportunity for someone aligned with our ethos.
You will assist in ensuring a fully compliant service and excellent client experience, while developing your industry knowledge and skills in presenting research to clients.
Responsibilities
1. Analysis: Conduct comprehensive analysis of clients’ needs, develop cash flow models, and accurately record client data.
2. Solutions: Construct financial planning solutions including investment, retirement, long-term care, tax, and IHT planning, supported by computer models and reports.
3. Recommendations: Prepare letters and reports, liaising with administrators, and maintaining full responsibility for client files and back-office records throughout the advice process.
4. Reviews: Prepare client reviews, update cash flow models, assess investment performance, and produce supporting reports and discussion documents.
5. Client Relationship Building: Service clients' daily needs through various communication channels and attend meetings to present solutions and recommendations.
6. Coordination: Collaborate with colleagues within the team to prepare application and provider forms and keep clients updated.
7. Partners: Work with other professional advisers such as solicitors and accountants to implement agreed action plans.
Requirements
* Chartered Financial Planner status preferred or willingness to work towards it.
* Diploma in Financial Planning required; commitment to ongoing compliance and regulatory updates.
* At least four years of industry experience preferred.
* Excellent administrative, research, report writing, and communication skills.
* Strong analytical skills with a structured, planned approach.
* Dedication to continuous professional development to maintain CPD requirements.
