The role Front line support to Syndicates 218 and 1856 and the Financial Planning and Analytics team, including decision support, reporting, development, and analysis. Interaction / decision support / day-to-day dealing with 218 Underwriters and Product managers, working with them to progress reporting and analysis. Support the development of self-serve reporting and dashboards across all areas of the business. Production of BAU scheduled reporting in respect of Syndicate 218. Interaction / support / day-to-day dealing with Sales & Marketing Team, working with them to progress analysis. Interaction / dealing with Finance Teams to support and develop reporting. Maintain, update & automate existing MI reports. Use of Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and limited SQL (if required). Key responsibilities Support Finance Business Partners and Financial Planning and Analytics team in the production and delivery of recurring senior management and Executive reporting together with specific granular business area reports (e.g., performance & exceptions packs). Support the wider Business MI team functions, particularly Finance Systems - Decision Support, working collaboratively with line management, to balance resource, demands and priorities accordingly. Design, develop and produce reports to meet Finance and business needs Gather relevant financial and operating information to support further in-depth analysis. Co-ordinate and collate responses from the business in support of commentary information and findings for report delivery. Identifying key trends and areas of opportunity highlighting them to business partners. Support requirements gathering and handle ad-hoc queries and in-depth financial and business analysis. Source and collate third party information. Qualifications, skills and experience Experience and knowledge of Insurance methods of trading, industry operational practices and procedures. Understanding of data structures and experience of extracting and utilising data to drive key strategic decisions, including the production of insightful analysis. Appreciation of the industry and market legal, regulatory and compliance provisions and the broker channels to market. Strong Excel (to macro level).
