Job Summary
The post holder will be involved in all aspects of HR generalist work. They will play a vital role in assisting the HR Manager with a variety of transactional activities, which will ensure an efficient HR administration service is provided to KSS AHSN (trading as Health Innovation KSS) and all its stakeholders.
The HR Assistant will provide assistance with generalist day-to-day and cyclical HR processes and activities, as well as other ad-hoc duties, as and when required.
Key duties and responsibilities
* Daily management of our in-house HR management system (HRMS), taking a proactive approach to its management and accuracy.
* Generating insightful and regular reports from the HRMS (Sage HR).
* Assisting with the management and monitoring of our absence daily and escalating issues to the HR Manager when necessary.
* Managing the HR and Recruitment inboxes and responding to queries promptly and professionally.
* Assisting with the development of robust HR administration processes, which will support Health Innovation KSS in achieving its key objectives.
* Assisting with employee engagement activities and initiatives (e.g. employee well-being and welfare).
* Recruitment related activity, including panel liaison, scheduling of recruitment timetables and assisting with pulling together recruitment materials for the recruitment platform (Teamtailor).
* Assisting with the Performance Development Review (PDR) processes, including liaison with line managers and staff.
* Assisting with various pre-employment/starter activities such as; being first point of contact for new starters, carrying out the necessary reference and employment status checks and ensuring the full on-boarding journey is fulfilled to an excellent standard.
* Assisting the HR Manager on any payroll-related matter and changes.
* Ensuring that the Health Innovation KSS induction pack is kept up to date and individual induction programmes are set up appropriately.
* Assisting with various leaver related activities, such as sending out acknowledgment letters, organising reference letters for files and liaising with line managers to ensure the correct process is followed.
* Assisting the HR Manager with the review and development of HR Policies and Procedures.
* Responsibility for the ongoing development of Health Innovation KSS’s intranet site.
* Organising internal and external training and following up, as required.
* Diary management and other general HR administration duties (including T&C change letters).

Education, Qualifications & Training
* Evidence of continuous professional development; record of CPD shows strong self-development ethos and learning.
* Working towards, or an interest in studying for CIPD qualification.
Knowledge & Experience
* Knowledge of the resources associated with the organisation of remote meetings and events, such as video-conferencing and other presentation media.
* Understanding and/or up to date knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
