Job Responsibilities
* Manage, prepare, calculate and administer a designated pensions portfolio for the Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust (RWT) and its shared service partners.
* Work independently or as part of a team to provide an accurate, timely pension service.
* Maintain accurate Pension records for all members of the NHS Pension Scheme employed by the Trust.
* Provide information and advice in a timely manner to employees, managers and executives.
* Ensure compliance with all statutory Pension requirements and meet deadlines.
* Support the Employee Services team payroll processes for around 45,000 employees, ensuring payments meet local and national policy and deadlines.
* Deliver good customer service and handle staff queries regarding payments promptly and professionally.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Essential
* Minimum of 4 GCSEs, Grade C or above including English & Maths
* NVQ level 3 Pensions plus training/experience to diploma level or equivalent
* Knowledge of payroll and pension rules and regulations
* Previous experience of Pensions
* Basic experience and knowledge of HMRC statutory regulations, Pension, RTI and Auto Enrolment
* Previous experience of ESR
* Experience of calculating basic payroll and pensions
* Advanced IT skills
Desirable
* Previous experience of NHS Pensions
* Knowledge of NHS Pension Regulations for NHS Pensions and NEST
* Experience and knowledge of AFC, Medical & Dental contracts, HMRC regulations, RTI and Auto Enrolment
