We are currently recruiting a highly motivated and resilient SEND Teacher to join a well-established SEND school based in Hillingdon.
The school caters for children with a range of needs, including Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
The teacher will lead a class of 8-12 students, with most pupils receiving 1:1 support, meaning there is substantial support staff in the class.
Responsibilities:
1. Leading a class of 8-12 students with SEND.
2. Creating and delivering an engaging and differentiated curriculum tailored to individual student needs.
3. Regularly reviewing student progress.
4. Collaborating with colleagues and professionals to ensure optimal support and education for each student.
5. Maintaining a safe, happy, and inclusive learning environment.
6. Implementing positive behavior management strategies.
7. Participating in relevant training and CPD.
8. Holding a relevant teaching qualification.
9. Having experience teaching children with SEND.
10. Being resilient and capable of managing challenging behaviors.
11. Having a passion for working with SEND students.
12. Possessing a good sense of humor.
13. Working well within a team.
14. Having experience with MLD/SLD/SEMH.
15. Experience in leading a classroom.
16. Experience with behavior management strategies.
17. Familiarity with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
