Overview
We are currently advertising for 2 new Consultant Anaesthetists to join our department, specifically in Paediatric Anesthesia. The Department provides Anaesthesia services for all major surgical specialties and works across two sites. Most elective work takes place at Castle Hill Hospital whilst urgent care, obstetric and paediatric care is at Hull Royal Infirmary. The Women’s and Children’s hospital manages about 6000 deliveries per year, with an elective caesarean section rate of 10% and an emergency caesarean section rate of 15%. For many years, Hull has been a leading centre for the practice and teaching of obstetric anaesthesia.
