My client is looking for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their established team working on large hospital in Wakefield. Working alongside experienced engineers, the site can accommodate an engineer with qualifications but less experience within their team on the day shift. Working on PPM and reactive maintenance across the site, you will work on all electrical aspects of the building both behind the scenes and ward facing. Duties of the role include:
* PPM on electrical and electronic plant and equipment in accordance with the PPM programme.
* Respond in a timely manner to breakdown requests.
* Carry out installation work involved in minor upgrading and adaptation works.
* Carry out duties in accordance with safe working practices within statutory and Company guidelines.
* Safely operate all types of access equipment, hand and power tools in accordance with health & safety and manufacturers' guidelines.
* Maintain records as appropriate.
* Undertake a willingness to assist and work flexibly with other trades.
* Ensure that there is minimum disruption to the Departments whilst carrying out work.
This is a perfect role to gain more experience and work on varied kit and gain from the experience of others. This would also suit someone more experienced who wants a predictable role, local to them with regular hours. With the role being in a hospital with Covid-19 cases on the wards, risk assessments and health checks will be done on applicants prior to placements for their safety.
* 18 th Edition
* City and guilds or NVQ qualification in an electrical discipline
* Experience within a maintenance environment of planned and reactive maintenance including fault finding.
* Hold an enhanced DBS or willing to undergo one.
