We power communities, connect businesses, and support critical services. We are looking for a Fault Technician to be the frontline responder—restoring power, solving faults, and delivering excellent customer service.
This role involves being first on site during outages or faults, working with LV and HV networks, restoring supplies, and making quick decisions that impact customers. You'll also support innovative trials and develop smarter fault location techniques to enhance network resilience.

What you'll be doing:
* Responding to customer reports and outages as the on-site face of our service.
* Carrying out switching, fusing, linking, and deploying LV transient management equipment.
* Locating and managing LV and HV faults, coordinating teams, and informing customers.
* Supporting transient management activities, including equipment deployment and fuse changes.
* Deploying temporary generators (2kVA & 6kVA) to restore supply quickly.
* Inspecting substations, pillars, and link boxes to ensure safety and functionality.
* Following safety legislation and company practices at all times.
* Providing 24/7 coverage as part of a shift rota, including standby duties.

What we're looking for:
* Strong customer service skills
* Electrical qualifications (ideally City & Guilds Level 2 or above)
* Proven experience with electrical distribution networks
* Hands-on experience with LV and HV networks
* Understanding of LV and HV fault management
* Knowledge of safe working practices on electrical networks
* Comfort with technology in the field
* Flexibility, adaptability, and composure under pressure
* Full UK driving license
