Taskmaster Resources Ltd in Huddersfield have been working with the University of Huddersfield since August 2014 and are currently recruiting a Professional Course Student Recruitment Team Administrator for a 3 month contract for 28 hrs per week. Job Purpose: To implement the administrative processes to ensure successful recruitment and admissions of students to the University. This includes the administration of enquiries, applications, and admissions related activities with a strong focus on professional body requirements for specific courses. Main Duties and Responsibilities: 1. To assist enquirers and applicants, ensuring that they receive timely and appropriate responses, providing excellent customer service, at all times, and maintain accurate records of interactions using the Student Record system (ASIS/SITS), the enquiry CRM system and the University document management systems as appropriate. 2. To process applications to the University using the Applicant and Student Record System (SITS) and ensure the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of decision making and that University and third-party organisations, (e.g. UCAS and DfE) standards and deadlines are met. 3. To ensure that all aspects of the application are completed with regard to a variety of clearance checks required for professional courses. For example, checking Personal Identification Numbers (PIN), obtaining Disclosure and Barring Service checks, medical reports and proof of qualifications etc. 4. To communicate with the relevant Government bodies in relation to professional course requirements, for example Disclosure and Barring Service. 5. Arrange and co-ordinate interviews for applicants for relevant courses. 6. To work with colleagues, including academic staff and other departments, for example iPoint, International Office, Student Records, Student Finance and Marketing, to ensure the effective handling of enquiries and applications from initial enquiry through to enrolment and registration, ensuring a high standard of customer service throughout the applicant and student lifecycle. 7. To evaluate and process applications for entry to the University using pre-defined criteria using a variety of resources including the UCAS Tariff and UK Enic. 8. To contribute to and actively participate in meetings, working groups and projects as required and collaborate with colleagues to drive improvements and change in accordance with priorities and deadlines. 9. To support key applicant and student administration activities such as confirmation, clearing, open days and enrolment. 10. To undertake duties outside and in addition to standard office hours at key periods of the year including, but not only, Confirmation, Clearing, Undergraduate and Postgraduate Open Days and Enrolment (holidays cannot be taken during these key times). 11. To undertake any other duties commensurate with the grade of the role that might be required.
