We are the only European manufacturing and distribution site for ink cartridges and textile inks. These products are shipped to an Epson warehouse in Germany where they are then distributed throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Quality and innovation is at the heart of everything we do, from our Cleanroom environment to our in-house machinery, design, and technology improvements from which we use our own Epson 6-axis robots. Hours of work: Week 1 – Sunday 11.00pm to 6.00am Monday to Thursday 10.00pm to 6.00am Week 2 – Monday to Thursday 2.00pm to 10.00pm Friday 1.00pm to 8.00pm Week 3 – Monday to Thursday 6.00am to 2.00pm Friday 6.00am to 1.00pm Position Summary: The Finishing Shop is the final Production Area, consisting of multiple Packaging processes – Retail Solutions, Easymail, Textiles Packing and CISS Packing. Within these safety and quality critical processes are where numerous Epson consumable products are inspected, packaged and processed into Finished Goods for distribution throughout the global market. This is achieved through automated, semi-automated and manual processes to efficiently deliver high quality products to our customer, on time and in a safe manner. In this fast-paced environment, the Production Supervisor plays an integral role of our manufacturing department, who must be capable of comprehending complex operations. The Production Supervisor will use their excellent leadership and management attributes to ensure daily operational efficiency, effective resource control and development of a positive shop floor culture The main duties and responsibilities for this role: To work collaboratively with fellow departmental management and companywide Teams to consistently deliver on business objectives and KPI’s (S2P). To be the daily driver of the department and to motivate Team Members to achieve the high standard expected. Effectively organise workflows, manage resource and monitor individual / Team performance to deliver a safe and efficient production process. Take 100% ownership of the department and drive Team Members ownership, ensuring a large focus on Safety, Quality, & Cost within your respective areas. Implement strategies to ensure the continuous improvement of existing processes and development of new controls. Lead your direct Team to consistently achieve business metrics, ensuring customer demand is satisfied at all times, whilst ensuring safety of the area, yourself and your Team Members. Utilise organisational skills and lean manufacturing techniques to successfully schedule the production plan in the most cost-effective and highest yield method available, effectively communicating any adaptations. Implement objectives and strategies to boost departmental performance. Coach, mentor and lead all Team Members to achieve these objectives, whilst fostering a positive Team culture. Implement new and develop existing procedures within the area, ensuring all Team Members always adhere to these through training and performance management controls. This will ensure compliance and support the departments delivery of business objectives and targets relating to Safety, Quality, Environmental, Cost, Delivery, Morale, Kaizen, 5S, Efficiency and Productivity. Responsible for a Team consisting of Team Leaders, Operators and Quality Inspectors, within a manufacturing department. To provide support, guidance and development to the Business Production Area Skills / Attributes Required: Man-management and Supervisory skills. Excellent communication skills. Lean Six Sigma Techniques. Qualifications: Essential: ILM Level 3 or above in supervisory management or above IoSH – Managing Safely Desirable: NEBOSH Certificate Lean Six Sigma – Green / Black Belt Project Management Experience required: Essential: Previous experience of management ability. Previous experience in a fast-moving Production department. Excellent communication skills. Performance management of staff. Delivery of production target and improvements. Procedure writing and review. SSOW & risk assessments review and development. Desirable: Budget control and analysis. New process introduction / project management.
