Responsibilities
As well as being able to lead and inspire a multi-disciplinary team, you’ll provide outstanding, personalised care to our residents, always putting their needs and wellbeing first. You’ll manage all aspects of the home, identify business opportunities while effectively managing budgets, take responsibility for the operating profit of the home, and ensure regulatory compliance across relevant areas. You’ll create and develop strong internal and external relationships, and play an important role in strengthening the Bupa brand as a trusted healthcare partner with key audiences including Local Authority and Primary Care Trust commissioners.
For this role you will need to become registered with the regulator and you may occasionally be required to work out of hours or evenings.
What are we looking for in our Care Home Managers?
* Strong clinical knowledge and expertise, plus an LMCS, RMA or equivalent management qualification
* You will know how to make a positive difference within a heavily regulated sector, with strong commercial acumen and a strategic mind
* The ability to develop an environment focused on continuous improvements
* An effective communicator, with a confident and influential leadership style
About The Home
Shockerwick House is a historic building that has been lovingly converted into a care home. It is located on the outskirts of Bath’s World Heritage Site. The 17th century house is set in twelve acres of wheelchair-friendly gardens, with an orangery and vegetable plot. The home offers comfortable rooms and a secure entry/exit system and 24-hour call system for resident safety.
