We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic colleague to join the General Surgery team at South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will have a special interest in Benign Upper GI and will be afforded the opportunity to collaborate with and develop the service.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will participate in the General Surgery on call rota, with elective work focusing on the surgical management of reflux disease, hernia repairs (inguinal, incisional, and hiatal), and laparoscopic cholecystectomy. They will also become a core member of the upper GI MDT and participate in training Specialist Registrars on rotation from HEE and trust grade registrars.

The current on-call frequency is 1 in 10, supported by a resident registrar, junior doctors, and ACPs.
The successful candidate will support undergraduate education through clinical teaching and supervision of medical students from Warwick and Buckingham Medical Schools.
