SUMMARY
As a Clinical Laboratory Technologist, you will play a vital role in our healthcare team. You’ll perform a variety of laboratory procedures on tissue, blood, and other body fluids across multiple disciplines, including Chemistry, Blood Bank, Microbiology, and more. Your work will directly contribute to the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, all while adhering to the highest professional standards.
Located in the heart of the North Country, Canton-Potsdam Hospital is a warm and caring not-for-profit community healthcare facility with 94 certified beds. Our mission is to provide exceptional healthcare services, and we proudly offer outpatient health services across several locations.

What You’ll Bring
ATTRIBUTES
* 🎓 Graduate of an accredited college with a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
* 📝 Current Clinical Laboratory Technologist NYS License or Permit.
* 🌟 Preferred: Certification from the American Society of Clinical Pathologists.
* 🧪 Preferred: At least one year of experience in a hospital laboratory.
Your Responsibilities
* 🔍 Evaluate specimen suitability and prepare samples for analysis.
* 🧬 Perform laboratory procedures in various disciplines, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
* 📊 Analyze patient results and maintain accurate documentation for timely reporting.
* ⚙️ Calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments, ensuring quality control.
* 👩🏫 Supervise and direct the work of students, phlebotomists, and lab assistants.
Physical Requirements
This role involves medium work, requiring the ability to exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently. Frequent walking, standing, or squatting is also required.
Compensation
PAY RANGE: $33.75 - $45.00
The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full-time applicant. It may be modified in the future and is eligible for additional pay components based on experience, qualifications, and other factors.
