About the Treasury Analyst role:
This role involves providing high-quality, customer-focused treasury services to a global client base. It is a key position within a small treasury team, requiring a strong team player who enjoys working in an empowered environment. Experience in trading and familiarity with Exchange control regulations are desirable.
Key responsibilities of our Treasury Analyst:
* Daily preparation of Cash positions for Africa market
* Daily variance analysis and commentary
* Managing funding requirements to ensure appropriate cash levels in each bank account, balancing operating cash vs. Idle Cash targets, safeguarding against overdraft incidents, and arranging loans with relationship banks
* Executing trades with authorized counterparties, ensuring compliance with Treasury policies, internal controls, and regulations
* Preparing Cash Flow Forecasts (CFF) for liquidity planning and monitoring forecast accuracy
* Monthly FX Flow Reporting, including variance analysis and commentary
* Monitoring FX gains and losses
* Supporting regional forecasts
* Daily review of bank statements and reconciliations
* Monthly review of bank charges and consolidation
* Bank account rationalization
* Business partnering with SSC and local teams
* Query resolution
* Providing coverage for Treasury Team Members
* Ensuring audit and SOAR process compliance
Previous experience / knowledge required:
* Essential treasury experience, ideally across MEA countries, including FX trading
* Knowledge of banking systems and trading platforms
* Intermediate to advanced Excel skills; SAP knowledge is a plus
* Focus on delivery, accuracy, and decisiveness under pressure
