*Overview*
We are seeking a talented and passionate Hair Stylist to join our dynamic salon team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. The successful applicant will be responsible for creating customised hairstyles, providing personalised consultations, and ensuring clients leave feeling confident and satisfied. A background in salon management is preferred, alongside a flair for upselling products and services to enhance client experience.
*Duties*
* Consult with clients to determine their desired hairstyles and provide expert advice on suitable cuts, colours, and treatments
* Perform hair cutting, colouring, styling, and specialised treatments with precision and creativity
* Maintain a clean, organised work station in accordance with health and safety standards
* Manage front desk responsibilities including appointment scheduling, client check-in, and payment processing
* Upsell retail products and additional services to maximise client satisfaction and salon revenue
* Mentor junior stylists and apprentices to foster a collaborative team environment
* Keep up-to-date with the latest trends, techniques, and industry best practices
* Ensure excellent customer service by building rapport with clients and addressing their individual needs
*Experience*
* Proven experience as a Hair Stylist within a busy salon environment
* Strong communication skills with the ability to connect effectively with clients of diverse backgrounds
* Knowledge of salon management principles is desirable but not essential
* Experience in barbering
* Demonstrated ability to upsell products tactfully while maintaining client trust
* Previous experience in front desk operations or customer service roles is beneficial
* Ability to mentor colleagues and contribute positively to team development
