Job Title: SENCo / Inclusion Manager
Location: Rainham, Havering, Essex
Pay Range: Main Scale / Upper Pay Scale + SEN Allowance (Dependent on experience)
Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time (Non-class based)
Start Date: September 2026

About the Role

The school are seeking a passionate and committed SENDCo to join their leadership team. In this key, non-class-based role, you will lead and develop the school's SEND provision, working closely with staff, families, and external partners to ensure all pupils receive the support they need to thrive. As a skilled practitioner, you will also champion high-quality inclusive teaching across EYFS and Key Stage 1.

Key Responsibilities

* Coordinate SEND provision across EYFS and KS1, ensuring a consistent and high-quality approach throughout the school.

* Support and coach teachers and support staff to deliver inclusive, adaptive teaching and effective interventions.

* Monitor, evaluate, and review the impact of SEND interventions, using data and evidence to inform next steps.

* Work closely with families, valuing their insights and ensuring their voices are central to all decision-making.

* Coordinate with external agencies, including educational psychologists, therapists, and local authority services, to secure the best outcomes.

* Ensure full compliance with the SEND Code of Practice, maintaining accurate records and contributing to statutory processes such as EHCPs.

* Model excellent classroom practice and support the professional development of colleagues through targeted training and guidance.

* Contribute to the wider life of the school, promoting a culture of inclusion, empathy, and high expectations for all.

The Ideal Candidate Will

* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) or equivalent (essential).

* Demonstrate a proven track record of successful teaching and deep knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice.

* Show an exemplary commitment to safeguarding and the welfare of young children.

* Possess strong leadership, coaching, and interpersonal skills to guide staff and collaborate with families.

* Display a proactive, empathetic, and collaborative approach to school life.
