Job Title: Pharmacy Dispenser
Working Hours: Full Time – 40 hours per week - including alternate weekends (1 in 2). Shifts
Reports To: Pharmacy Director
To support the safe and effective delivery of pharmaceutical services by preparing, dispensing, and managing prescriptions under the supervision of a registered pharmacist, while providing excellent customer service and ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations.
* Accurately prepare and dispense prescriptions, ensuring correct labelling, dosage, and packaging.
* Provide excellent customer service at the counter and over the phone.
* Offer basic advice on over the counter (OTC) medications within scope of training.
* Ensure that all medication storage, handling, and disposal is in line with safety and legal requirements.
* Receive, unpack, and store pharmaceutical stock safely and securely.
* Assist in stock control and inventory checks, including expiry date monitoring.
* Maintain accurate patient records and prescription logs using pharmacy systems.
* Support the pharmacist in day-to-day operations and regulatory compliance.
* Uphold confidentiality and data protection standards at all times.
* Completed NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services (or equivalent).
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling prescriptions.
* Good communication and customer service skills.
* Basic IT skills for operating pharmacy software and records.
* Experience working in a community or retail pharmacy.
* Knowledge of NHS prescription processing (if applicable).

Starting pay at £13.80 per hour and includes 4 weeks of paid annual leave.
