Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant to join our team in Melksham, United Kingdom. As a Health Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting clients in their homes, enabling them to maintain their independence and quality of life.
1. Assist clients with their daily needs, including personal care, hygiene routines, and mobility support
2. Prepare nutritious meals and help with feeding when required
3. Provide medication support, ensuring clients take prescribed medicines as directed
4. Accompany clients on social outings and medical appointments
5. Engage in companionship activities, fostering a positive and supportive environment
6. Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients
7. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
8. Monitor and report any changes in clients' health or wellbeing
9. Complete accurate and timely documentation of care provided
10. Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies
Qualifications
11. No formal qualifications required, but experience in a care setting or interacting with older people is advantageous
12. Genuine passion for supporting others and delivering outstanding service
13. Excellent communication skills and ability to build professional relationships
14. Reliable, trustworthy, and respectful demeanour
15. Comfortable spending time in the company of others and providing companionship
16. Physical fitness to assist with daily tasks and support client mobility
17. Basic literacy and numeracy skills for maintaining accurate records
18. Ability to work flexibly, including every other weekend
19. Strong time management and organisational skills
20. Empathetic and patient approach to care
21. Ability to follow care plans and maintain confidentiality
22. Right to work in the UK (essential)
23. Willingness to undergo a DBS enhanced disclosure check
