This is currently a time of exciting change for maternity provision within Lincolnshire as a Local Maternity System (LMS) has been established by the ICB with the Lincolnshire Sustainability and Transformation Partnership.
Within the antenatal care department we have an amazing opportunity to welcome women and families into the Trust. High quality antenatal care is provided using the implementation of Saving Babies Lives care bundle V3 and the development of our Maternity Triage Department which has recently adopted the Birmingham Symptom Specific Obstetric Triage System, BSOTs.
We are looking for experienced, dynamic and enthusiastic midwives to join our team as we begin to implement the next stage of our journey with the provision of a stand‑alone telephone triage system.
Main duties of the job
The role will involve delivering high quality care for complex pregnancies in both the antenatal clinic, Maternity Triage and Telephone Triage working collaboratively with the sonography, obstetric and wider multidisciplinary team.
The Maternity Triage department is the A&E of maternity care and requires the ability to work under pressure, in a fast paced environment, an extensive knowledge of electronic fetal monitoring (EFM), a detailed understanding of Saving Babies Lives pathways, presentation scanning and a love of team work.
