This is an exceptional opportunity for an AI Engineering Lead to join a cutting-edge technology organisation building intelligent, AI-native products that deliver highly adaptive and personalised user experiences at scale.
Our client is seeking a hands-on AI Engineering Lead who has built and owned AI products end-to-end within fast-moving, product-focused AI businesses, rather than traditional enterprise ML or research-led environments. The AI Engineering Lead will have led AI engineering within smaller AI-native organisations across areas such as LLMs, NLP, conversational AI, agentic workflows, and AI product platforms. The AI Engineering Lead will take ownership of the architecture, development, and scaling of core AI systems powering real-time intelligent experiences, working closely with product, engineering, and leadership teams to deliver production-grade AI solutions from experimentation through to deployment and optimisation. As an AI Engineering Lead, you will remain deeply hands-on technically whilst shaping AI strategy, platform capability, and product direction.
Key Skills as AI Engineering Lead:
* Proven experience scaling AI products within AI-native or product-focused businesses.
* Expertise ideally across LLMs, NLP, Generative AI, RAG, and agentic workflows.
* Strong Python and software engineering experience within scalable distributed systems.
* Experience deploying and optimising production AI systems at scale.
* Strong understanding of AI evaluation, observability, and experimentation.
* Hands-on technical leadership within fast-paced, high-growth environments.
* Strong communication, collaboration, and commercial awareness.
