Marketing Manager - Email £26,699 per annum
Summary
This is a fixed-term, job share role. Working 3 days a week, until 1 September 2026.
We’re looking for a Marketing Manager – Email to join our Performance Marketing team, to play a part in helping millions of people connect with nature, beauty and history. As our Marketing Manager – Email, you’ll play a vital role in delivering impactful, insight-led email communications that support our membership, fundraising, commercial income, and long-term loyalty. This is an exciting opportunity to bring your email expertise to the largest conservation charity in Europe, where your work will make a real difference every day.
What it’s like to work here
This role sits within the Owned Channels team (email and web), part of the wider Performance Marketing function alongside paid media and digital products. As a newly formed team at the heart of the Communications & Fundraising Directorate, we work closely with colleagues across the Trust to create and deliver joined‑up, audience‑first campaigns that inspire support and drive growth.
Your contractual location will be our head office in Swindon and there will be an expectation for you to attend the office. However, there is flexibility on where you are based at other times. You’ll be required to work at a National Trust location for 40–60% of your working week. This will be discussed in more detail at interview.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll be an experienced digital marketer with specialist expertise in email and CRM. You bring curiosity, creativity and a continuous improvement mindset.
You’ll lead the day‑to‑day development, execution and optimisation of email marketing campaigns across the National Trust. Working closely with the Senior Marketing Manager – Owned, as well as customer, content, analytics, regional and commercial teams, you’ll ensure emails are timely, relevant and aligned to key journey touchpoints.
You’ll deliver high‑performing email campaigns that support Trust‑wide priorities, including membership, fundraising and commercial income. Using segmentation, behavioural triggers and personalisation, you’ll ensure communications are tailored to audience needs and drive engagement. You’ll apply insight, testing and analytics to continuously improve performance and champion data‑led decision making across the channel, whilst maintaining high standards of deliverability, content quality, consent management and GDPR compliance.
Working collaboratively across internal teams and occasionally with external suppliers, you’ll deliver joined‑up, audience‑first email experiences and keep us current by championing innovation, automation and evolving best practices in email marketing.
