Job Title: Social Worker - Family Help Service

Rate of Pay: £30.57 per hour
The Role
As a Social Worker in the Family Help Service, you'll manage a varied caseload of children and families where needs have been identified. Your primary responsibilities will include:
* Undertaking comprehensive early help and Child in Need (CIN) assessments to identify family strengths and needs.
* Developing, implementing, and regularly reviewing Child in Need Plans in partnership with children, families, and other professionals.
* Providing direct support to children and families, building relationships and empowering them to find their own solutions and achieve positive change.
* Working collaboratively with a range of multi-agency partners, including schools, health visitors, GPs, and local community groups, to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to support.
* Promoting the voice of the child throughout all stages of assessment and planning, ensuring their wishes and feelings are central to the process.
* Maintaining accurate, analytical, and timely electronic records in line with Birmingham Children's Trust's policies and procedures.
* Identifying and escalating safeguarding concerns promptly where thresholds are met for child protection intervention.
About You
We are looking for a committed and skilled Social Worker with:
* A recognised Social Work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, CQSW) with current registration with Social Work England.
* A full UK driving license and access to a car for business use (or ability to travel efficiently around the city).
