Independent Living Team Leader

£29,493 per annum (FTE £35,664.14)
At Amplius, we support our customers to live independently, safely and with confidence. As an Independent Living Team Leader, you’ll lead a committed team delivering high-quality welfare checks, housing-related support and services that put customers first. You’ll manage Scheme Assistants, oversee day-to-day service delivery, and work closely with other Team Leaders and the Independent Living Senior Service Manager to ensure a consistently excellent customer experience.
Salary: £29,493.62 (FTE £35,664.14)
Contract: Permanent, part time
Your week: 30 hours Monday – Friday from 9am – 4pm (flexible)
Location: Hybrid, based at our Peterborough office, managing Scheme Assistants across sheltered schemes in North Amplius, covering North and Eastern Lincolnshire to Nottinghamshire.
Snapshot of your role

Lead and develop the Independent Living team, promoting a positive, values-led culture and supporting performance through regular supervision, appraisals and development.

Recruit, manage and support Scheme Assistants to ensure high-quality, customer-focused service delivery across all schemes.
*
Oversee day-to-day service provision, ensuring schemes are fully covered, compliance tasks are completed and staffing issues are resolved effectively.

Maintain high standards of safety, record keeping, property inspections, emergency planning and Health and Safety compliance.
*
Place customers at the heart of services by promoting strong communication, engagement activities and representation across schemes.
*
Monitor performance, audits, KPIs, budgets and grant funding, working closely with colleagues and the Senior Service Manager to drive continuous improvement.

Build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners to support effective tenancy management, projects and positive customer outcomes.
What we’re looking for

Good basic literacy, numeracy and IT skills, including proficiency in MS Office, Teams, smartphones and tablets.

Experience in customer-facing roles, lone working, and working collaboratively as part of a team.
*
Strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to plan and manage workload independently.
*
Excellent communication, listening, problem-solving and interpersonal skills, with empathy and resilience in challenging situations.
*
Understanding of GDPR, confidentiality, performance management, and a flexible approach to change and new challenges.
A full UK driving license is essential for this role.
DBS clearance is required for this role.
