Groundforce is the market leading rental provider of excavation support, providing specialist equipment to customers worldwide.


Key Responsibilities

* Provide full support to your line manager, ensuring all depot transactions are completed safely, timely, efficiently and accurately in line with company policies, procedures and customer requirements.
* Inspect, service and maintain Groundforce equipment and depot assets to specified quality standards.
* Work in the depot under instructions from the Depot Foreman/Leadinghand to keep equipment ready for hire.
* Liaise with your line manager to understand and meet customers’ requirements and maintain the highest level of service.
* Drive counterbalance or multi‑directional forklift trucks to load/unload vehicles and move, prepare and store equipment (full in‑house training provided).
* Pick, return and scan equipment accurately and identify stock overages or shortages.
* Load and unload equipment correctly and safely.
* Use a pressure washer to clean equipment.
* Inspect, service and repair specified hire equipment and depot assets.
* Operate pneumatic and electrical hand tools (full in‑house training provided).
* Maintain accurate service/inspection records and record damage to out‑of‑service equipment.
* Keep stock levels accurate and ensure equipment quality meets company standards.
* Maintain a positive attitude towards Health, Safety and the Environment, reporting any issues to your supervisor.
* Keep the depot clean and tidy, and occasionally drive the depot van when required.
* Assist in other duties within your skill set to support the smooth running of the business as directed by management.


What We’re Looking For

* Accurate completion of records and paperwork.
* Capability to use scanners, PDA’s, tablets and computers.
* Reasonable level of fitness.
* Flexibility, trustworthiness, reliability and excellent time‑keeping skills.
* Valid full clean driving licence and access to own mode of transport.
* Customer service experience (advantageous).
* Knowledge of shoring and commercial operations (advantageous).
* Working knowledge of the construction/housing/civil engineering industry (advantageous).
* Knowledge of the hire industry (advantageous).
