We're Hiring: Senior Finance Officer / Finance Business Partner
Hybrid - Bury St Edmunds | Band F (£38,220–£41,771)
Contract – Full time / Secondment (part time possibility)
Local Government East (LGE) is looking for a skilled and proactive Senior Finance Officer / Finance Business Partner to help shape our financial strategy and support our mission to strengthen local government across the East of England.
What you'll do
Lead regular financial reporting and forecasting
Support annual budget setting and 3‑year financial planning
Support year‑end accounts and external audit process
Provide expert financial advice to senior leaders and budget holders
Drive high‑quality financial governance and risk management
What you'll bring
ACCA / CIMA / CIPFA / AAT Level 4 (or working towards)
Strong experience in budget monitoring, forecasting and variance analysis
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
Confident communicator with strong Excel skills
