Financial Accountant - Salary DOE Location: Enniskillen Reports to: CFO About the Company Our client is a leading timber processor with operations across Ireland and the UK, specialising in construction, pallet wood, fencing products, wood pellet fuel, renewable electricity, and engineered timber solutions for housing. The Role This is an exciting opportunity for a recently qualified accountant to join a dynamic finance team. Reporting to the CFO, you will support the preparation of management accounts, budgeting, and financial reporting for multiple UK entities. You will also contribute to process improvements, system implementations, and compliance with regulatory and tax requirements. Key Responsibilities: Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and variance analysis. Provide KPI, production, logistics, and cost reports to support business managers. Manage HMRC returns (VAT, plastic tax, etc.) and intercompany recharges. Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling. Liaise with auditors and prepare audit schedules. Participate in the implementation of a new group accounting system. Review internal controls and implement process improvements. Support capital investment evaluations and working capital monitoring. Candidate Profile Recently qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with at least 2 years PQE. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and commercial awareness. Self-motivated with a proactive, can-do attitude. Excellent IT skills, particularly MS Excel; experience with accounting/ERP systems is advantageous. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
