We are seeking a highly professional and proactive Company Secretary to join our central team. This is a pivotal role, reporting directly to the CEO, leading the trust’s governance services. Amethyst Academies Trust (AAT) is a multi-academy trust based in Wolverhampton and Telford, dedicated to transforming lives through exceptional education. The Trust oversees a family of schools, including Aldersley High School, Moreton School, Telford Park School, Penn Hall School, and Tettenhall Wood School. About the Role: You will oversee all aspects of governance effectiveness and compliance, ensuring our trust meets statutory and regulatory requirements. You will provide strategic leadership for governance support services, act as lead adviser on governance matters, and drive best practice across the trust. Key Responsibilities: • Lead and develop governance services, ensuring compliance and effectiveness • Advise on governance structures, procedures, and legal frameworks • Oversee recruitment, induction, and development of governors and trustees • Manage statutory records, policy registers, and governance documentation About You: You will have experience of governance, managing multiple diaries, and coordinating meetings and events. You will be highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and as part of a team. Effective communication skills and the ability to influence senior staff are essential. Experience in governance, compliance, or clerking is desirable.
