Sales Team Manager
AXA - Global Healthcare is looking for an experienced Sales Manager to lead our efforts in renewing individual customer policies across the UK and EU. This role is perfect for someone with a background in sales, people management, and a passion for process efficiency or data‑driven decision‑making.
You’ll develop and execute strategies to retain existing customers, grow the customer base, and ensure high‑quality service. You’ll directly manage a UK sales team, including coaching, mentoring, and conducting regular performance reviews, with oversight of EU sales resources to support their development.
At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events.
What you’ll be doing
* Lead customer retention efforts to meet and exceed renewal targets.
* Develop strategies for direct customer renewals to grow the portfolio.
* Represent the Individual sales team in key projects.
* Manage and develop the UK sales team through coaching, performance reviews, recruitment, and training.
* Provide regular sales forecasting and reporting for stakeholders.
* Optimise renewal processes, ensuring compliance with regulations and internal policies.
* Handle sales leads and conversions, managing budgets related to retention.
What you’ll bring
* Experience in sales, customer retention, or account management.
* Call centre management experience in a regulated environment.
* Strong leadership skills with a focus on coaching, mentoring, and developing team members.
* Proven ability to conduct performance reviews and support ongoing development.
* A data‑driven or process‑oriented approach to work.
* Good understanding of insurance or healthcare markets (preferred but not essential).
* Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
* Ability to analyse data, identify opportunities, and drive results.
