Overview
Graduate Bridges and Structures Engineer (Bristol) at Jacobs. The Graduate Development Programme (GDP) is a structured two-year scheme designed to support your development at the start of your Jacobs career journey. Through a combination of blended learning, mentoring, progress reviews and networking, you will establish yourself as knowledgeable and competent across four key focus areas: human skills, consulting skills, championing our strategy and your passions. The GDP is an experience programme, with much of the learning on-the-job as you work with your manager and mentor to collect meaningful learning experiences.
As a new graduate within our Bridges team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the delivery of project work and influence the continuing growth of Jacobs.
What will you do
* Delivery of a range of bridge and structural projects, including structural analysis, feasibility studies, tender and detailed designs, and production of contract documents and technical reports
* Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to provide integrated services to clients
* Applying diverse thinking to seek innovative solutions and deliver best value
* Working with UK and Global Integrated Delivery teams to ensure efficient and successful project outcomes
The start date for this position is September 2026.
Qualifications
* Be working towards a Master’s level qualification in Civil Engineering, Civil and Structural Engineering or Civil and Environmental Engineering
* A flexible self-starter who is keen to drive your career forward
* Adaptable to change, with a thirst for learning new things
* You must have the permanent right to work in the UK
