Join our Data Services Team The Data Service team is responsible for managing and maintaining the data infrastructure at Softcat. Have you collaborated cross-functionally on complex IT business systems' related projects involving data, working with diverse sets of stakeholders. The Data Modeler will work closely with business analysts, data engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that our data infrastructure supports the organization's data requirements and objectives. You'll also be responsible for: Developing and maintaining conceptual, logical, and physical data models that align with business requirements and support efficient data management. Collaborating with business analysts and subject matter experts to understand data requirements and translate them into effective data models. Database Design: Design, implement, and optimize relational and non-relational databases to support various applications and business processes. Establishing and enforcing data modelling standards and best practices to ensure consistency and integrity across the organization. Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation for data models, database schemas, and data flow diagrams. Contributing to the development and implementation of data governance policies, ensuring data quality, security, and compliance with industry standards. We'd love you to have: Proven experience as a Data Modeler or in a similar role. Strong proficiency in data modelling tools and techniques. In-depth knowledge of relational and non-relational databases. Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes. Understanding of data governance principles and practices. Experience with data security and compliance standards.
