Instrument Lifecycle Coordinator


Contract Type: Temporary (6-month contract, with potential extension)

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Work Schedule: Flexible start and finish times (core hours on-site: 10am–3pm; 7.5 hours per day)

Pay Rate: £14.49 per hour

Location: Loughborough

Start Date: ASAP


Scope


An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Instrument Lifecycle Coordinator to join the Laboratory Services Department within the Analytical and Development Services Group.


In this role, you’ll play a vital part in managing the lifecycle of laboratory instrumentation, from procurement and qualification to calibration and maintenance, ensuring compliance with GxP standards. This is a great opportunity to gain cross-functional experience and contribute to a growing, innovative CDMO environment.


Responsibilities:


* Support the planning, execution, and completion of laboratory equipment qualification activities.
* Assist with equipment procurement, delivery, and installation to meet project timelines.
* Coordinate qualification tasks across internal teams, service providers, and suppliers.
* Prepare, review, and finalise qualification documentation (protocols, reports, and records).
* Support calibration and maintenance scheduling to ensure ongoing equipment reliability.
* Maintain compliance with GxP standards and internal quality procedures.
* Collaborate with validation teams and laboratory users to resolve equipment-related issues.
* Help manage documentation and data within electronic systems such as Empower and ELN.
* Contribute to continuous improvement of equipment lifecycle processes.
* Provide administrative and coordination support to the wider Analytical and Development Services team.


About You:


* Minimum 2 years’ experience in a pharmaceutical GxP environment, ideally within analytical or laboratory operations.
* Familiarity with equipment qualification and calibration processes.
* Working knowledge of systems such as Chromatography Data Systems (e.g., Empower) and Electronic Laboratory Notebooks (ELN).
* Awareness of analytical instrumentation such as HPLC and GC.
* Bachelor’s degree in Analytical Sciences or a related field.
* Strong organisational, communication, and attention to detail skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively across internal and external teams.
