The Role
As a Functional Assessor, you will:
* Assess individuals to understand how their disabilities or conditions impact their work life.
* Utilize your clinical expertise to gather medical histories and conduct physical examinations.
* Produce concise, accurate reports for the Department of Work & Pensions (DWP) to determine eligibility for benefits.
* Engage with clients both face-to-face and via telephone/video, ensuring a sensitive and compassionate approach.
You’ll have the time to make precise assessments and provide each individual with your full attention. While you’ll work independently, you’ll also be part of a supportive multi-disciplinary team.

About You
We’re looking for candidates who are:
* HCPC Registered Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, or Paramedics with at least 12 months of recent, broad-based post-registration experience.
* Experienced in functional assessment and clinical decision-making (preferred).
* Committed to Continuous Professional Development.
* Members of a relevant professional body.
* Familiar with clinical governance and customer service standards.
* Excellent communicators, both orally and in writing, with the ability to adapt in a dynamic environment.
* Proficient in IT and experienced with various software applications.
* Self-aware and focused on professional growth.
* Honest, maintaining integrity and confidentiality.
* Motivated to deliver quality customer service with empathy and respect.
* Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
* Team-oriented, ready to support a multi-disciplinary team.
* Eligible to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available).
