Role
- Provide 1-to-1 counselling and group work to support recovery from drug or alcohol misuse.
- Carry out strength‑based assessments, create care plans and promote visible recovery.
- Work as part of a multi‑disciplinary team including therapeutic workers, nurses and support staff.
- Provide supervision of academic placements.
- Utilise theory, evidence‑based literature and research to support evidence‑based practice.
- Play a key role in the smooth running of the therapeutic community.
About You
- Qualified counsellor with accreditation.
- Good office IT skills and experience in the substance misuse field or a similar setting.
- Experienced managing a caseload, engaging in partnership working and delivering CBT‑based interventions.
- Operational requirement: the role must be fulfilled by a female in accordance with ACAS guidelines.
