The Opportunity
An excellent opportunity for a workshop-based Production Manager / Supervisor to take ownership of day-to-day operations, drive workflow and performance, and lead a busy manufacturing team. This role suits someone who has worked up from the shop floor and enjoys hands-on leadership, planning jobs, and keeping production running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities of the Production Manager
* Manage day-to-day workshop operations to ensure output, quality and deadlines are met
* Allocate workloads and organise workshop jobs effectively
* Coordinate labour, materials and priorities across multiple builds
* Lead, support and develop the workshop team with a hands-on management style
* Maintain high standards of H&S, housekeeping and quality
* Work closely with engineering and management to improve efficiency and processes
Key Requirements of the Production Manager
* Proven experience as a Production Manager, Production Supervisor or Workshop Manager
* Strong background in mechanical manufacturing, ideally within a machinery manufacturing environment
* Experience allocating workloads and implementing effective workshop job plans
* Confident managing people day-to-day with a practical, visible leadership style
* Hands on shopfloor background
