We're recruiting a Trainee Ships Agent to join our client's dynamic team in Aberdeen. This role supports vessel operations across Aberdeen, Peterhead, and Montrose, and is ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career in maritime logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support day-to-day ship agency operations
* Coordinate with vessel owners, crews, and charterers
* Manage equipment sourcing and procurement
* Monitor vessel movements and update records accurately
* Ensure compliance with all HSE, legal, and company standards
* Build strong client relationships and deliver high-quality service
* Drive company vehicles to transport crew or equipment (as required)
What We're Looking For:
Good general education
Full, clean UK driving licence
Strong communication, organisation, and IT skills
Customer-focused with a flexible, can-do attitude
Willingness to travel and work varied hours
Desirable (Not Essential):
* Previous ships agency or marine industry experience
* Forklift licence (5T counterbalance)
* Dangerous Goods by Sea, COSHH or HSE awareness
* Member of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers
