Prepare the unit for service and close the unit down each day. Undertake vehicle maintenance and safety checks. Maintain the vehicle in a clean, safe, and presentable condition. Greet patients and complete administration duties. Carry out support work as directed by the CC2H nurses and maintain records. Carry out daily risk assessments before parking and setting up the unit. Use vehicle and equipment safely and effectively, and report any defects immediately. Carry out all tasks in compliance with department policies and procedures. Ensure all duties are performed safely, using only the equipment provided. Communicate effectively with patients and work colleagues. Assist in emergency situations under the direction of the CC2H nurses. Support new staff during induction. Strictly observe all Infection Control procedures and related policies. Safeguard keys provided during duty and ensure vehicles/areas/rooms are locked before leaving. Respect patients' wellbeing, privacy, and confidentiality. Perform duties according to operational procedures to provide quality service and meet customer requirements. Undertake any other duties necessary to support service delivery. Use the Mobile Unit support car as directed by the CC2H nurses. Transport drugs and blood as required, following Alder Hey, MFT guidelines, and MCCU policy.
