Senior Speech & Language Therapist Assessor Required

Hours: Full-time or Part-time
Salary: £39,576 – £45,830 (dependent on experience)
Are you an experienced Speech & Language Therapist seeking a role that blends your clinical expertise with meaningful impact? We are looking for a Senior Therapist Assessor to join the client’s multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality pre-entry therapy assessments for prospective learners with complex physical and learning needs.
This is not a traditional therapy caseload role—you’ll be shaping therapy provision recommendations and supporting learners’ transitions, while maintaining clinical skills through selective therapy delivery.
What You’ll Do:
* Conduct pre-entry assessments for prospective learners in collaboration with the wider assessments team.
* Analyse EHCPs, medical reports, and supporting documentation.
* Undertake functional and subjective assessments both in person and remotely.
* Produce clear, evidence-based assessment reports to support admissions and funding processes.
* Collaborate with therapy colleagues and multidisciplinary teams to ensure person-centred recommendations.
* Contribute to service development, quality assurance, and continuous improvement of assessment processes.
What We’re Looking For:
* HCPC registration (and membership with relevant professional body – RCOT, CSP, RCSLT).
* Proven experience in your therapy discipline with strong assessment skills.
* Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively within an MDT.
* Excellent communication skills with students, families, and external professionals.
* Commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion.
Why Join the Client?
* Competitive salary: £39,576 – £45,830
* Hybrid working model with flexible full-time or part-time hours
* Opportunities for professional development and CPD
* Contribution to a service that makes a meaningful impact on young people’s futures
This is a key role shaping the success of student placements through expert clinical insight.
