Job Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Practice Nurse – Complex Care to join our Primary Care team at HMP Oakwood, a Category C Prison located in Wolverhampton. HMP Oakwood is one of the largest prisons in the UK, housing over 1,500 men.

Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the complex care needs of the men at HMP Oakwood, using strong clinical assessment and decision‑making skills.
* Deliver face‑to‑face care and provide safe, effective health assessments and treatment for patients within the establishment.
* Be accountable for your own practice, including assessment of complex wounds, long‑term conditions and quality of care management, diagnosis, treatment, discharge and referral of patients.
* Practice within your scope of clinical competence and the limits agreed for acceptable practice.
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse: Adult Nursing with current NMC registration.
* Experience working autonomously as a clinical practitioner, following best practice guidance and identifying risks through sound clinical expertise.
* Knowledge of clinical audit and its relationship to research.
* Knowledge of statutory requirements for safeguarding adults and children.
* Willingness to innovate and embrace learning through continued professional development and practical application of new skills.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate openly, consistently and clearly.
Experience
* Experience in a hospital, community, or prison setting (not essential).
