Role: General Engineering Workshop Technician Engineer x 3 REF 98945 Contract Length: Until 15/08/2026 Location: Stafford IR35: Inside Pay Rate to Intermediary: Market Rate Security Clearance: BPSS Spinwell is recruiting for a General Engineering Workshop Technician Engineer for an excellent opportunity within the public sector. RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE GENERAL ENGINEERING WORKSHOP TECHNICIAN ENGINEER Perform self-directed Test; Diagnostics; Repair; Maintenance; Modification; Calibration and Manufacture of Equipment down to module / individual Component level using approved Engineering Documentation and techniques. Hold Self-Certification; Over-Signing; Certifying & Conditioning of Equipment Responsibilities (for example: Serviceable / Unserviceable / Scrap). Supervision; Training and Over-Signing of Junior / Equivalent grade Staff & Apprentices. Carry out Feasibility and Development activity, including the Reverse Engineering and Creation of supporting engineering documentation / Test Procedures. Use a combination of different client IT software. Provide Specialist Advice as required. Work within a scheme of Engineering Governance and comply with all policy and legislation. SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE GENERAL ENGINEERING WORKSHOP TECHNICIAN ENGINEER Previous experience in schedule maintenance and repair. Holds eligibility to meet the criteria of professional Registration of EngTech, in accordance with the UK-SPEC. Level 4 qualification and advanced/higher apprenticeship; or Level 3 qualification, a nationally recognised engineering apprenticeship and some engineering experience within their discipline or specialism area.
