Position Overview: THX has grown 30% year-on-year over the last three years and is poised for substantial further growth. This role is responsible for providing accurate and timely financial support across the finance function by managing the hire purchase financing and assisting with purchase ledger processing, bank reconciliations, and administrative tasks, ensuring smooth operations, compliance with company procedures, and effective support for month-end and management reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Hire Purchase Financing
Accurately ascertain what assets are being paid for and therefore require financing
Obtain quotes from banks in conjunction with Finance Director
Provide all invoices and proof of payments necessary for financing
Organise the signing of necessary documentation in a timely manner
Request settlements for disposed assets
Purchase Ledger
Credit card reconciliation
Management of Expend
During period end and other busy periods as required, assist the purchase ledger team as follows
Processing supplier invoices
Statement reconciliations
Payment runs
Query resolution
Management Accounts
Bank Reconciliation
Support management accountant with balance sheet reconciliations at month end
Administration
Set up Top service log in
Set up cardnet log in

Requirements
Essential
Considerable proven experience of working in a similar position within a Finance Team
Previous exposure to/involvement in management accounting, preferably in asset-intensive industries
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems (Sage 50)
Demonstrable experience working with financial data, reconciliations, and basic ledger tasks
Strong communication skill, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment`
A proactive and flexible approach to work
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Strong numerical and analytical skills
Excellent organisation and time‑management skills
Desirable
AAT Qualification
Experience working within a construction, hire, or similar industry (if relevant)
Experience supporting month‑end or year‑end processes
Ability to improve or streamline financial processes
Advanced Excel capability (macros, advanced data analysis)
