Your new role
In your new role as a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be at the forefront of high-profile military projects, shaping the future of deployable operational infrastructure. From concept design to supporting production build, your responsibilities will include working as part of a diverse team of designers, ensuring the delivery of innovative solutions for a range of projects, including:
* Battlefield ambulance
* Simulators
* Explosive ordnance disposal vehicles
* Expanding containers that house CT scanners and 20ft containers for command and control
Key responsibilities will include:
* Designing sheet metal fabrications for battle-ready ambulances
* Crafting welded assemblies for simulators that simulate real-world scenarios
* Developing machine components for explosive ordnance disposal vehicles, ensuring precision and durability
* Spearheading electrical integration design for power lockers in expanding containers housing CT scanners
* Conducting drawing checks and design reviews to maintain the highest standards
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will preferably hold an Engineering Degree in a relevant engineering subject. Defence experience and knowledge of regulations and processes will be advantageous.
What you'll get in return
In return, you will receive an excellent base salary of between £45,000 - £55,000. You will also have the option to work both flexibly and hybrid in this role. Other benefits include a generous holiday allowance, healthcare, and pension contributions up to 9%.
