Senior Project Manager | Shipping services and ship brokerage | £850-950 per day | Hybrid Role, City of London based |12-18 month assignment, outside IR35 | Our client is a London-based lead in shipping services, ship brokerage, and chartering. As part of continuous improvement and growth, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join the senior leadership team to establish an Enterprise Architecture function, with the aim of pivoting IT from a reactive support function into more of a proactive business partner, supporting the business as it continues to grow by both organic and acquisitive activities. This will involve the recruitment of a PMO, along with Business Analysts and junior project staff to lead the projects in tandem. The incoming Senior Project Manager will head up and oversee a series of projects within the function, including introducing and migrating disparate and legacy ship brokerage systems and data to new cloud-based software platforms, aimed at streamlining ship chartering, sale and purchase (S&P), and vessel tracking. The Senior Project Manager will also introduce improved data analytics into the business to enhance efficiency, introduce more automation, and enable automated decisioning within a 24/7/365 marine business. Finally the Senior Project Manager will modernise and harden the cyber security posture of the business, including the modernisation of real-time tracking systems for vessels.
