We are seeking an experienced and qualified Team Manager to lead a Family Help team, providing management oversight, supervision, and support to Consultant Social Workers, Social Workers, and Outreach Family Support Workers. The role is responsible for ensuring high-quality social work practice, improving outcomes for children and young people, and promoting a positive, safe, and effective working environment.
Responsibilities
* Provide direct line management to Consultant Social Workers, Social Workers, and Outreach Family Support Workers.
* Ensure the delivery of high-quality, child-focused social work practice across the team.
* Oversee case management, ensuring appropriate interventions are in place to improve outcomes for children, young people, and families.
* Provide regular supervision, guidance, and management oversight to staff and supervisors.
* Support Consultant Social Workers in carrying out their supervisory and leadership responsibilities.
Qualifications
* Social Work qualification (Degree, DipSW, CQSW, or equivalent).
* Registration with the relevant Social Work regulatory body.
* Evidence of ongoing professional development.
Essentials
* Significant post-qualification experience within Children's Social Care or Family Help Services.
* Previous experience supervising, mentoring, or managing Social Work staff.
* Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation, policies, and best practice.
* Experience managing complex cases and providing professional oversight.
* Ability to lead, motivate, and develop multidisciplinary teams.
* Experience managing performance, attendance, and staff wellbeing.
* Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and risk management skills.
