Our Cleaning Operatives play a vital role in ensuring our venues are clean, tidy and safe to use for all of our colleagues, members, customers and visitors. We are looking for additional team members to join us on a Casual basis, to pick up shifts during busy periods and absence cover, with availability to cover at our venues in the City Centre and at Newport International Sports Village. Main duties include: - Working to a cleaning schedule in accordance with operating procedures to clean all venue areas to a high standard - Immediately report any defects or issues in the venue or with the equipment to the Cleaning Supervisor or Duty Manager / Leisure Operations Officer on duty - Observe all regulations related to Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) and the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974). - Undergo all relevant and required training Our venues rely on the highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene, so taking pride in your work is a must. This can be a demanding, physical role, and can be challenging during busy periods. Essential Requirements - Knowledge and application of COSHH - Experience working in a customer-facing environment - Good awareness of health and safety practice - Capable of working without constant supervision Beneficial to your Application - Working knowledge of a variety of cleaning methods, and the use of cleaning materials and equipment - Experience of cleaning in a leisure or theatre environment Hours: Casual basis - available shifts will be published in advance for you to accept when available to commit to work. Shifts can cover early mornings, days, evenings, weekends and bank holidays, around the operational hours of our venues. On occasion, shifts may become available at short notice, therefore your flexibility is appreciated.
