The Content Manager owns and continuously improves the quality, consistency, and persuasiveness of sales and marketing related content across the pipeline. This includes proactively maintaining and renewing our bid content library, covering case studies, method statements, templates, proof points, graphics, and narrative assets, to ensure every submission is compelling, current, and evaluator friendly.
Core Responsibilities
* Work closely with SMEs to maintain, improve, and govern the bid content library—archiving outdated material and adding new assets aligned with business growth and service evolution.
* Establish, document, and enforce a RedRock house style (tone of voice, plain English, inclusive language, and UK Government style where appropriate).
* Maintain a robust content governance model including version control, approval workflows, ownership mapping, and evidence sign‑off—particularly where material is commercially or legally sensitive.
* Build, curate, and continuously update a proof‑points repository containing metrics, client quotes, benefits realisation evidence, delivery benchmarks, and referenceable outcomes.
* Contribute to bid review cycles and collaborative sessions to strengthen narrative quality, consistency, and strategic alignment.
* Translate technical or specialist input into clear, benefit‑led, persuasive content tailored to evaluator expectations; provide both developmental editing and line‑by‑line refinement.
* Coach contributors in bid writing best practice to reduce rework, minimise duplication, and raise the overall standard of submissions.
* Ensure content is structured, accurate, compliant, and easy to reuse—reducing cycle times and improving win‑rate efficiency.
* Support the marketing manager with content writing and ideation for web, email, social media and other marketing material
* Contribute to campaign planning for events in terms of content and logistics
* Work closely with the marketing manager to manage the updating and organisation of content for the RedRock website
* Produce high quality external-facing documents in collaboration with the marketing manager and wider team
