About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Inclusion Resource Teacher to join our team and lead learning within a class-based setting. This role is dedicated to delivering adaptive and bespoke curriculums that meet the diverse needs of pupils with SEND, including autism, learning difficulties, and complex needs.

You will create a nurturing, stimulating environment where every pupil can achieve their potential academically, socially, and emotionally. This is a unique opportunity to make a real difference by tailoring learning experiences to individual needs. You’ll collaborate with colleagues, families, and mainstream settings to ensure every child has the best possible educational experience.

Key Responsibilities

1. Plan and deliver personalised, engaging lessons that meet pupils’ individual needs and EHCP targets.
2. Use adaptive teaching strategies to remove barriers to learning and promote progress.
3. Lead a class of pupils with SEND, supported by teaching assistants and specialist staff.
4. Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting plans to ensure continued development.
5. Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment.
6. Work collaboratively with families, external professionals, and mainstream schools to share expertise and support transitions.
7. Contribute to the school’s vision for inclusion and continuous improvement.
8. Collaborate with mainstream settings to share expertise, support transitions, and promote inclusive practice across the wider school community.

Who We Are Looking For

9. A qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with experience in SEND and adaptive teaching.
10. A creative, resilient practitioner who can design and deliver bespoke learning experiences.
11. A strong communicator who builds positive relationships with pupils and families.
12. Someone who thrives in a collaborative, specialist environment and values pupil-centred learning.

Essential Requirements

13. UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
14. Experience in teaching pupils with SEND.
15. Knowledge of adaptive teaching strategies and bespoke curriculum design.

Why Join Us?

16. Supportive leadership and a strong commitment to inclusion.
17. Opportunities for professional development and specialist training.
18. A collaborative team environment where your ideas and creativity are valued.
19. The chance to make a real impact on pupils’ lives every day.

Joining this team provided opportunities to work across a number of Inclusion Resource Settings. The advertised post is to work at Newlands Primary School Inclusion Resource. Please enquire to Jayne Elliott if you have any questions about working locations.
